About Vianney

Vianney comes from a family of Bordeaux winegrowers spanning five generations, with deep roots on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. This heritage has given him an instinctive understanding of the region, its vineyards and the complexities involved in passing estates from one generation to the next — invaluable knowledge that he now brings to clients seeking vineyard estates and exceptional residential properties through Maxwell-Baynes | Christie’s International Real Estate and Vineyards-Bordeaux.

Whether advising on the acquisition of a vineyard or a prestigious home, he approaches every project with the same high standards, discretion and commitment to building lasting relationships.

Career

Vianney began his career in London in 2010, entering the world of fine dining and luxury hospitality. He quickly progressed from sommelier to restaurant manager, leading teams and overseeing operations across several Michelin-starred establishments. These years shaped both his management skills and his strong sense of operational discipline and service.

In 2020, he channelled his entrepreneurial and creative instincts into co-founding a high-end wine bar in Melbourne, set within a heritage-listed building. He developed the concept from the ground up, creating a destination recognised for the quality of its wine and food offering and the standards of its service.

Fluent in both French and English, Vianney returned to Bordeaux in 2025. Today, he brings his international experience, knowledge of wine and hospitality, and understanding of the Bordeaux region to luxury real estate as part of the Maxwell-Baynes | Christie’s International Real Estate and Vineyards-Bordeaux teams.

Beyond work

A keen martial arts enthusiast, Vianney enjoys both the competitive side of the discipline and the focus and resilience it demands — qualities that also serve him well professionally.

He is also a passionate guitarist and food lover, and enjoys travelling whenever he can, combining his interests with a genuine taste for adventure.
