Remarkable 17th century Manor house set in beautiful parkland with a quality hobby vineyard. Built in 1671, it was completely renovated in 1999 when the current owners purchased. Many period features have been preserved to maintain the ancient charm of this rare property. Some parts of the outbuildings have not been renovated which would allow a new buyer to expand or create new spaces to his liking. Set in a stunning park-like setting with a total of 14 hectares of which 3 hectares are vines. The land is mainly woodland and pasture. There is an option to plant more vines if desired (7 ha max). There are many bedrooms. As currently configured there are eleven (each with own bathroom) however, this could be increased or decreased depending on the way an owner wishes to use the space. Vineyard The main chateau sits within an estate of 14 hectares. The estate is very private and quiet, the vineyard is a short walk from the residence. The vineyard is only 3 hectares but has the potential for expansion if desired.The vines are mostly Merlot with a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc. Winery: There are 220 HL approx of stainless steel vats with a manuel system of temperature control. There is room to add more vats if needed. There is also a barrell store with approx 50 barrels. Wine: The red wine is Bordeaux Superieur. The wine is aged in oak and the property replaces around 10 barrels a year. There is one chateau brand and one other brand name. Production is kept relatively low however quality of the wine is very high with prices as high as 15 Euros per bottle being achieved for the Red wine. Ideally located ; 30 minutes from Bordeaux, 20 minutes from Saint Emilion and 1 hour from the Atlantic coast.
