The castle itself needs complete internal refurbishment which would bring life back to some of the beautiful rooms. The 600m2 is on 3 floors. The west of the Dordogne has hundreds of pretty vineyards, with many wines rivalling those of neighbouring Bordeaux. The east of the Dordogne – with famous medieval towns such as Sarlat – has popular tourist attractions such as the Lascaux caves and other protected UNESCO world heritage sites. The rolling green hills of the north of the Dordogne offer a large selection of Chateaux to visit and explore and the region is perfect for cyclists, water activities and unspoilt beauty. Famous for its cuisine, the Dordogne is dream come true for fans of gourmet experiences.
Served by the airport of Bergerac, the region also has great international connections. With daily flights to London and other parts of Europe, the Dordogne is within easy reach for travellers.
